I think this article helps women understand how fitness experts think the average woman is bigger than in the 1950's. The clothing sizes are also different than they used to be. This is why vintage clothing may feel different than current clothing. Current clothing designers and manufacturers have changed the sizes and they are not the same as the sizes of past era's clothing.

I have read the average clothing size is 12 for most women. Anyone else think that is average?
Average height for a woman is approximately 5 feet 4 inches.
Average weight is approximately 150 -152 lbs.
Waist, Chest and Hip measurements can be calculated by height using charts online,
but I say just be yourself, don't worry about how you look compared to others. Be confident with the body you have and chose clothing that fits comfortably and fits your lifestyle.
